From August 7, 2010 through August 13, 2011 I am going to be a full-time volunteer at Teen Mania Ministries in Garden Valley, TX. I will be mentoring young men, serving in the Extreme Camps department (preparing for summer camps in the summer of 2011), and pouring out my heart and life for the forceful advancement of the gospel. This year promises to be filled with hard work, sweat and blood, tears and hardship, as well as inexpressible blessing, joy, fun, good times, and great memories.

Answer: around $500 a month. Come back soon, and I will have the details posted. :)

Becoming a Core Advisor

I remember several years ago when I graduated from my first year at the HA and became a "Graduate Intern" it felt the same way: like nothing is different than it was yesterday.

"As Core Advisors, we have responded to the call to aggressively and passionately pursue our own self development and that of each individual within our sphere of influence. We are perfectly united in mind and thought, standing in one spirit, contending as one man, proclaiming Christ as one voice to this generation.

Seven years ago I arrived in Garden Valley, Texas on a breezy day in the mid-80s, and began a journey which would utterly change my life. When I stepped onto the Honor Academy's campus I suspected that something good was about to happen, but honestly, I greatly underestimated how good it would be. I knew that I wanted to follow Jesus closer than ever before, I knew that I wanted to grow strong where I was weak, and I knew that spending a year in Texas with the Honor Academy (HA) would be a big part of all of this happening, but I had no idea that seven years later I would still be here, and that my love for the LORD would have turned into what it is today...
